The story was published in January 1843. the story is about an old man that has an eye and it really bothers another person. the other person is a killer. They had said they really loved the old man before they killed the old man. The main characters are characters the characters that are in the story throughout and/or the main characters out of many characters or few character. The police are not one of the main characters because they only have one little part in the whole story. Like as I said the old man and the killer were main character because you hear about them in the whole story and you don't hear about the Police till the end of the story.
